Dr. Tushar Pandey is a nationally and internationally trained Clinical Hematologist, Hemato-Oncologist, and Bone Marrow Transplant (BMT) Physician, and is widely recognized as the first Clinical Hematologist, Hemato-Oncologist & BMT Expert serving Haldwani, the entire Kumaon region of Uttarakhand, Rudrapur, Kashipur, and the adjoining regions of Uttar Pradesh including Bareilly, Moradabad, and Rampur.
He completed his medical education at the Institute of Excellence – PGIMER Chandigarh, where he pursued MBBS and MD and was a topper during his training, followed by DM in Clinical Hematology, one of the most selective and advanced super-specialties in medicine. His academic foundation reflects the highest standards of clinical rigor, diagnostic precision, and evidence-based practice.
Dr. Pandey has further enhanced his expertise through advanced courses and certifications from globally reputed institutions including Imperial College London, Johns Hopkins University, the European Society for Blood and Marrow Transplantation, Vall d’Hebron Institute of Oncology, and Rajiv Gandhi Cancer Institute.
He was also an important member of the clinical team involved in delivering the first CAR-T cell therapy in Eastern India, a landmark achievement in advanced cellular therapy in the country.
In recognition of his outstanding contribution to patient care, service development, and advancement of hematology and oncology in the region, Dr. Tushar Pandey was awarded by the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Uttarakhand, Pushkar Singh Dhami, in 2025, for his exceptional work in the field of Hematology and Oncology across Uttarakhand and adjoining areas of Uttar Pradesh. This honour reflects the impact of his work at both a clinical and public-health level.
Dr. Pandey is the Founder and Director of the Raghav Institute of Hematology, Hemato-Oncology & BMT (RIHOB), based in Haldwani, Uttarakhand. His vision is to deliver tertiary-care, metro-level hematology and oncology services locally, ensuring patients receive accurate diagnosis, guideline-driven treatment, and advanced therapies without the burden of long-distance travel.
His areas of expertise include anemia, bleeding and clotting disorders, immune thrombocytopenia (ITP), thalassemia, hemophilia, aplastic anemia, and the full spectrum of blood cancers including leukemias, lymphomas, and multiple myeloma. He has extensive experience in stem cell transplantation, CAR-T cell therapy, targeted therapies, and precision hematology, following WHO, NCCN, ASH, EBMT, and international guidelines.
